Education and Career Accomplishments:
Carla Cannas graduated in Chemistry at the University of Cagliari (Sardinia/Italy) with a thesis entitled "Synthesis and characterization of Ni-SiO2 nanocomposites" in 1996. Her PhD she obtained in 2003, (thesis entitled "Structural and Magnetic characterization of Fe2O3-SiO2") under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Piccaluga. Since the year 2014 (to 2019) she had been an Associate Professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Cagliari. Since 2020 she is Full Professor in Fundamentals of Chemical sciences and Inorganic Systemy and Chemical Foundations of Technologies.

Prof. Cannas is currently vice-coordinator of the Doctoral Course in Chemical Sciences and Technologies at the University of Cagliary.
